If I had the ability to make the perfect poker player that had the memory, mental toughness, card counting ability and that didn't fold under pressure it would be Phil Hellmuth. Phil Hellmuth rocketed into the global poker scene with an incredible win over the great Johnny Chan. Johnny Chan was attempting to be the first player in world series of poker history to win the big title three years in a row, but he ran into a buzz saw named Phil Hellmuth and lost to Hellmuth in the final table in the 1989 World Series of poker. Philip Hellmuth by winning in 1989 became the youngest player in World Series of poker history to win the title at the age of 24. Hellmuth was one of the greats that eventually helped to bring global recognition to professional poker. He holds numerous World Series of poker records including winning the most WSOP bracelets with 11 and also holds the WSOP records most caches at 68 and also most WSOP final table appearances with 41. Phil Hellmuth has won over $6 million total at WSOP events but his all time poker tournament winnings is very close to $11 million total and this ranks in the top five all time list behind such greats as Joe Hachem and Daniel Negreanu. Phil Hellmuth has never been the type of person that settled for second best no matter what he wanted to do. When asked what his ultimate poker goal was he said it is to become the greatest poker player ever and I wouldn't doubt this at all because he has all the abilities in the world and the dedication to achieve this goal.
Phil does not rest in the off-season as he also has become a very good mentor and instructor for online poker players. He has also made several awesome poker videos which include titles such as the ultimate white to black belt force in this video puts poker players through different level courses that start them off with a white belt and when they have finished they will become black belts of poker. Phil Hellmuth also came out with another video called million Dollar poker secrets. He is also a very good poker writer and has written numerous books on how to play poker and these include his best-sellers such as play poker like the pros, the greatest poker hands ever played among others. Phil Hellmuth is known for his style of staying very cool under pressure and is known for making incredible reads on his opponents such as the time in the main event table of the 2005 World Series after laying down an incredible hand of Ace-King. What was more incredible was that he laid down this hand to his opponents pocket aces as it showed his incredible ability to read his opponents hands.
Phil Hellmuth has teamed up with two of the biggest online poker companies in the world: Absolute Poker and Ultimate bet
